On August 23, we invite you to MASA Kultūrbārs for a special concert featuring pianist, vocalist, and composer Olinka Mitroshina together with saxophonist Deniss Pashkevich. In this one and only concert in Riga, you will experience Olinka's latest original compositions in an acoustic setting that have not yet been recorded and can be heard only live.
Olinka Mitroshina (vocals, piano) is a Latvian-born artist, Now based in Paris, Olinka is an active artist and educator on the European scene for twenty years, with turns in the US (New Orleans) and on African soil (Yaoundé, Cameroon). Long inspired by Blues (as her first musical signature), as well as Jazz, Soul, Hip-Hop, and even minimal and electronic music, Olinka now presents her new compositions in an acoustic style.
Deniss Pashkevich (tenor saxophone) is one of the leading figures in the Baltic jazz scene. As a saxophonist, composer, and educator, he has toured extensively across Europe, Asia, and the United States. His performances are marked by powerful improvisation, refined musical interplay, and deep emotional presence.
